BOOK COVERS

I have created a number of covers for novels and comics, as well as a cover for a book of poems. The comic Super/Angela was written and self-published by Shawna Shepherd, I provided the cover art and interior line art. The comics Starship: Precursor and The Wait of Gravity are entirely my own, I was the author and artist on both. Starship: Precursor was printed in an anthology collection called Get in the Game, which was the result of a successful Kickstarter campaign featuring a number of regional creators. Minnesota and Other Poems is a book of poetry by Dan Nelson; I also did artwork to correspond with a number of his poems, which involved a collaboration of visions between the two of us. He wanted my artwork to reflect my instinctive creative feeling along with his original vision. Some of the art drastically from what he originally wanted, due to that desire for strong collaboration.

I have also created artwork and layout for book covers for author Garrison Walters. Each book has a very different tone, and Garrison would give me a few key moments from his books along with the text, and gave me the space to be inspired and create something representative of his work. That process helped distinguish the tonality of each book through the artwork..
